COMMERCIAL | FABRIC SHOWROOM RENOVATION
Project – Fabric Showroom and Office Renovation, Fitzroy, VIC
The goal is to create a modern fabric showroom alongside updated facilities for boardroom and admin office, blending both business and office elements into a cohesive and functional workspace.
The design combines contemporary styling with sustainable design principles to create an atmosphere that is both luxurious and innovative. It evokes intrigue and surprise, inspired by the surrounding environment, while maintaining a harmonious balance between work and relaxation.
Vibrant Color Palette: An eclectic, creative palette that reflects the showroom’s artistic nature and aligns with the fabric business’s identity.
Sustainable Materials: Use of eco-friendly fabrics and locally sourced materials that promote sustainability and durability.
Textural Finishes: A mix of paint and wallpaper to add visual depth and texture throughout the space.
Contemporary Lighting & Accessibility: Thoughtful lighting choices and accessibility features to ensure a functional and inclusive environment.
Dynamic Design Elements: Walls, floors, and ceilings designed to create a cohesive, dynamic atmosphere that enhances the space's flow and functionality.
Convenience Features: A kitchenette in the boardroom for informal meetings and ergonomic workstation specifications in the admin office to support daily operations.
The renovation involves three key areas:
Fabric Showroom: A stylish space that presents the clients' fabric collection in an inviting and visually appealing manner.
Boardroom: A modern meeting space with contemporary furniture and a kitchenette for casual interactions.
Admin Office: A well-organized and efficient workspace designed to support the operational needs of the business.
This renovation aims to seamlessly integrate the clients' professional and personal life, showcasing their fabric collection in an elegant yet practical environment.
SHOWROOM
The showroom design is inspired by natural rock elements, incorporating a color palette of black, charcoal grey, and green. A custom-designed rock display unit will showcase the fabric collection, while a "Rock" sofa will provide a comfortable seating area for customers to relax while selecting fabrics.
BOARDROOM
The design is inspired by the architectural elements of a Fitzroy brick house, featuring vertical red brick accents and black cabinet fronts. This combination will create a private, functional boardroom that serves both as a conference room and a lunchroom, offering a stylish yet practical space for meetings and informal gatherings.
OFFICE
The design features a workspace with two desks, complemented by a custom false ceiling and office cabinetry. This creates a modern, functional environment that balances relaxation and productivity, offering an ideal setting for focused work.
